140th Infantry, Regimental Color. Composed of men from Washington, Greene, Beaver, and Mercer counties, the 140th was led by Colonel Richard P. Roberts, later John Fraser, and was organized in early September 1862. The 140th was mustered out of service on May 31, 1865. Due to the flag's condition, documentation is impossible.

140th Infantry, State Color. Composed of men from Washington, Greene, Beaver, and Mercer counties, the 140th was led by Colonel Richard P. Roberts and later John Fraser, and was organized in early September 1862. The regiment received the state color on November 21st, and Sergeant Robert Riddle was its bearer. The 140th was mustered out of service on May 31, 1865.

140th Infantry, National Color. Composed of men from Washington, Greene, Beaver, and Mercer counties, the 140th was led by Colonel Richard P. Roberts and later John Fraser, and was organized in early September 1862. The 140th was mustered out of service on May 31, 1865. Very little is known about this flag, however, it is suggested the flag was carried late in the war.
